Flowing movement on the mat and chair.

GYROKINESIS® method

GYROKINESIS® is a mat-based practice that coordinates movement, breath, and mental focus without specialized equipment. Through rhythmic, undulating sequences, the body opens, strengthens, and reorganizes while the nervous system settles into a deeper sense of calm and clarity. Small group classes welcome all levels and encourage movement that feels fluid, spacious, and connected.

A Continuous Experience

Flowing movement for the whole body.

GYROKINESIS® method works with the body as an integrated system. Classes may include:

  • Spinal articulation

  • Circular joint movements

  • Rhythmic patterns

  • Undulating sequences

  • Seated and lying-down exercises

  • Breath-led movement

  • Moments of rest and awareness

Each sequence prepares the body for the next, creating a continuous movement experience rather than a series of disconnected exercises.

The Practice

A practice without specialized equipment.

GYROKINESIS® method  is practiced using a mat and chair. The simplicity of the setup allows the body, breath, and attention to become the primary tools.

This makes the method an accessible way to explore movement in the studio, at home, or alongside other forms of training.
